Africamps Klein Karoo - Your Stay in Oudtshoorn

Each tent at AfriCamps Klein Karoo includes a fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, microwave, and toaster, plus a dining area and lounge. The Classic Tents have two bedrooms, one with a single bunk bed. All tents feature air conditioning, a wood-burning fireplace, and a private bathroom with hot shower. Some tents offer a private hot tub and a wooden deck overlooking a small lake or dam. The tents are cleaned daily.

No on-site restaurant, but guests can pre-order a breakfast basket placed in the tent for self-preparation. A braai package with ostrich steak, chicken, sausage, and salad is available. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, sharp knives, and basic tea/coffee. Firewood and charcoal are available for purchase at reception.

Outdoor swimming pool (with sun loungers and towels), kids' pool, and a hot tub. Guests can fish in the dam, cycle on the property, or hike on marked trails. Wildlife includes springbok, kudu, water mongoose, and ostriches. Bookable meerkat safari tours run by guide JJ offer close-up encounters. Stargazing is excellent due to low light pollution.

10-minute drive from Oudtshoorn, on a working ostrich farm (30,000 hectares). Near Cango Caves and Buffelsdrift Game Lodge. The tents overlook the Swartberg Mountains. Free parking on site. The property is a 5-minute walk to the dam. Public transport is not available; a car is recommended.
